SequelMed ASP is a revolutionary, one of a kind product that is designed to serve the needs of the new era that emerged from Internet/Intranet/e-commerce.
The ASP (Application Service Provider) model allows provider/users of Groups, MSOs, IDSs, and CBOs to gain access to SequelMed without needing to purchase outright and install them. Instead, users access SequelMed over a secure VPN (Virtual Private Network) and utilize the Internet or the web browser as a communications channel.
SequelMed ASP system is built around the concept of Business Entity. Business entities are added as an ASP sees the need to maintain separate businesses (Solo, Provider, Group, Large Group, CBO, and MSO). This could be an MSO managing several practices in an entity and share information among different practices or Single practice that wants to maintain a separate business entity.
Multiple entities throughout the ASP Model can access Shared Health Plan, Fee Schedules, ICD 9, Modifiers, CPT Code, Recall Profiles, Place of Service, Type of service, Follow-Up Actions, and Follow-Up Reasons while having capability to have profiles specific to entity only. Every entity will have their own master patient index, while limiting access to group-specific financial and utilization data.
