STAT Cardiac Clearance is a free application that guides clinicians
through the complex algorithms established by the American
College of Cardiology/American Heart Association Task Force
on Practice Guidelines and the American College of Physicians
for evaluating patients prior to noncardiac surgery.
Based on Guidelines for Perioperative Cardiovascular Evaluation
for Noncardiac Surgery, 1995 (updated in 2002) (available
for viewing on the American Heart Association website),
this easy-to-use tool also contains extensive text from
the Report. Also included is the ACP algorithm based on
Guidelines for Assessing and Managing the Perioperative
Risk from Coronary Artery Disease Associated with Major
Noncardiac Surgery.
