Treating patients unable to communicate their condition to you is complicated, especially if they take one or more prescription drugs. Often they have their medications with them, but rarely in original or identifiable packaging. The IDENTIDEX System facilitates the quick, accurate identification of unknown drugs by imprint code or slang term.
A match is further confirmed by physical characteristic descriptions and accompanied by ingredient and manufacturer data. The System provides links to toxicologic management in the POISINDEX System to assist with emergencies.
