eMAR Description
|
The eMAR solution is a nursing tool that identifies the correct patient with the correct medication, dosage, time and route of administration.
The solution features:
Immediate access. With eMAR, a nurse or other clinician won’t have to wait to find out a patient’s medication status. A current list of medications that are past due or that require follow-up is on hand through an Alert Monitor screen. Plus, a warning system notifies the user when medication criteria do not match.
User-friendly technology. Bar codes, similar to ones found in a grocery or retail store, provide a fast and reliable system to match a patient and his or her medication.
The technology enables users to identify a patient, retrieve records and verify medication. Touch screens allow quick navigation of the system, and color and symbols allow users to immediately identify a patient’s medication status.
