CAAS RVA Description

The CAAS RVA software offers semi-automatic and manual detection of the right ventricular ED and ES contours.

ED and ES volumes and the EF are calculated instantly.

Seven different models for the calculation of the RV volume have been implemented. Five of these models are used for biplane analysis. Each model has at least one regression formula that will correct for the assumed mathematical shape and the muscles. All volume models and regression equations have been validated and were published in the medical literature.
