CAAS QCA 2D Bifurcation
|
Coronary lesions located in a major bifurcation constitute a challenge for interventional cardiology. It is associated with a higher rate of complications and restenosis. As such a number of innovative stent techniques and dedicated devices are being developed and introduced.
In order to assess the efficacy of these new techniques and devices new methodologies are needed. The new Quantitative Coronary Analysis for Bifurcation (CAAS QCA Bifurcation) was developed specifically for analysis of lesions across bifurcated vessels. On the European Bifurcation Club meeting in Valencia, Spain (September 2007) Prof. Patrick W.J. Serruys, MD, PhD (Erasmus Medical Center, Rotterdam, The Netherlands) revealed the software and its functionality to the public.
Pie Medical Imaging’s QCA Bifurcation Analysis Module provides state of the art objective, accurate and reproducible quantification of both single and bifurcated artery lesions.
