The Nightingale Virtual Health Record (VHR) is a community-based Electronic Health Record that provides physicians, hospital staff and other healthcare providers with the ability to provide truly seamless, integrated care to all of the residents in their community.
The VHR is comprised of four components:
a secure central data repository to maintain patient recordsan HL7 interface engine to receive and send out information across the communitya master person index to ensure that patient information from all sources is accurately consolidated and to facilitate efficient communication and data exchange between providersthe virtual medical desktop - a single, easy-to-use interface that enables healthcare providers to securely access patient records, view lab results, send and receive referrals, order tests and more.
