How Health Probe works in real life
The Interviewer makes a new transaction for the patient,
enters vital signs, determines and enters the chief complaint,
selects the appropriate template and clicks appropriate
items. The patient is placed in the exam room to await the
examiner.
The Provider accesses and reviews the patient's electronic
chart for a few moments, then examines the patient. Findings,
orders, diagnoses are entered and prescriptions are printed
with a click of the pen or mouse. Templates and associations
facilitate documentation.
A pen computer can be used with a wireless link to the
data server. The captured medical data can provide referring
and recall letters as well as accounting information.
At patient check out, today's encounter is accessed. The
orders and diagnoses appear in the integrated patient accounts
receivables program with associated codes and charges.
Consultations, hospital orders are arranged as necessary.
Payment is made and the patient receives the receipt complete
with physician orders and date to return. The referral letter
and documentation may also be printed at this time.
Optionally, at the end of the day, a batch file of today's
production can be processed and created for forwarding to
billing and receivables.
